UMJ Strengthens Relationships with Parents of New Students
UMJ held a gathering event for UMJ leaders with parents/guardians of new students for the 2023-2024 academic year at the UMJ Scholars Building which was held in a hybrid manner, Saturday (07/10/2023).
UMJ Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Sc., warmly welcomed the arrival of parents/guardians of new students. Ma'mun expressed the importance of meeting and meeting face to face with students' parents/guardians. “Of course it is important to equalize perceptions between leaders and parents. "When we were on campus, our parents were us, therefore we are very serious about providing the best education to your sons and daughters." said Ma'mun.
On this occasion, Ma'mun also introduced the UMJ leadership to student parents, starting from the vice chancellor, dean and deputy dean within UMJ. Ma'mun hopes that student parents and UMJ can work together and support the programs at UMJ.
Next, Deputy Chancellor I, Dr. Muhammad Hadi, S.KP., M.Kep., explained about academic information system policies at universities. Then Vice Chancellor II, Dr. Ir. Mutmainah, MM., who provided an explanation regarding the general administration and finances of the University.
"As a parent, I really responded positively to the holding of this friendly event, with the activities carried out by UMJ at the beginning of this academic year, of course it is very important for parents to know about the activity programs offered by UMJ, both academic and non-academic," said Mufarokah, one of the parents of new students when interviewed.
"We hope that this is not just an initial activity, but that throughout our children's study process, there will still be regular communication programmed. "Through the programs implemented, we also hope to be able to develop ourselves and our children's capacities so that they can provide benefits and benefits to themselves, their families and society," continued Mufarokah, conveying his hopes.
Parents were given the opportunity to interact with the UMJ chancellor in a question and answer session. Apart from that, the event was also enlivened by a solo vocal performance performed by UMJ Faculty of Agriculture student , Diva Rekanta.
